Justin and I flew to London over the weekend to catch up with our buddy Leon. On our backpacking trip over the summer, we met him on a bus in Slovenia and ended up going across the country with him for a few days, forming a lasting friendship. I informed him that we would be visiting the United Kingdom, and he organized a whole road trip weekend for us. We began in London, where we visited and enjoyed the city. Then, we traveled to Manchester to stay with his sister. Manchester was a wonderful city that pleasantly surprised me. The city's youthful population and nightlife were outstanding. Next, we drove through Whales and traveled across Snowdonia National Park. The national park had breathtakingly gorgeous sceneries, something that felt like you would see in a movie. We hiked up to a lake and spent a few hours appreciating the peaceful environment.
The United Kingdom is undoubtedly a travel destination. The highlight of our vacation was meeting unexpected strangers and going to places we never knew existed. The English are very boisterous, extroverted, and humorous. Being from Hawaii, it was a major culture shock even though everyone was speaking English. Thanks to our buddy Leon, Justin and I experienced an unforgettable time full of memories that we will never forget.
